Krystal was still deep in thought before moving over to a panel.
"I need some way to manipulate the simulation," she said. "While the overall look is right... I have a feeling that it wasn't quite standard issue. I remember seeing a few details that aren't here. Never really paid any attention at the time though. But now that I'm looking at something to compare to... some things feel wrong."
As Krystal wasn't interested in the Safties, she just focused on the details. Little by little, the environment changed to be more like the Chronostorm. Every once in a while Krystal would stop to look around before adjusting something else. It was clear that she was right. It wasn't a standard Mobius.
Nat looked at the changes as they came into being. "Hmm, interesting. I get the feeling their Mobius wasn't the type the Tholians have been handing off to us, or the type the Terrans gave their past selves. This one feels... more complete, doesn't it?"
"Don't really have anything to compare to so I wouldn't know," Krystal replied. "All I know is that compared to your recreation, it didn't feel right. The main problem will be dealing with any Temporal or Omega weapons. We can't risk either getting used."
"I don't know if this matters, but he was also able to drop me, Nat, and Sarah into a holodeck simulation, complete with wardrobe changes and fake scars, rather easily. I went to sleep in the quarters he gave me, and woke up to the simulation without any warning," Krystal said.
"Felt real enough," Krystal replied. "I went from my standard Sierra 1 to a Terran version. And I'm sure you know what that means. Shorts and cropped top. It was as if my uniform had been completely replaced. I didn't feel the material at all during the simulation."
Nat shrugged. "Of course I am. It's not it bothers me that my attempts to save the galaxy caused me to become a supposedly mad power-crazed villain controlling an alliance of all the Federation's worst enemies."
He pretended to cough. "Anything else, captain?"
Krystal seemed unconvinced.
"Not that I can think of," she replied. "Could check with your counterpart and Sarah to double check the details of the Chronostorm."
Krystal shrugged.
"Just roll with it," she said, passing the PADD over to Captain Nat. "Looks like we weren't the only ones skeptical about the Mirror Nat's intentions."
Admiral Nat replied, "I was actually always on your side, regardless of whether or not you knew it at any given time. I may be nuts, but I still don't want anyone destroying the Federation and I'm not stupid. I know their Alliance isn't being entirely honest with you guys."
(AU) Sarah just stood there, trying to restrain herself from doing anything... too aggressive.
Krystal put a hand on Sarah's soulder.
"If it makes you guys feel better, I still don't trust him as far as I can throw him. But the fact is I also don't trust his counterpart either," she said. "According to him, his counterpart's going to use the talks as a distraction to take out everyone while we're distracted. And I've always felt like his counterpart wasn't always on the level with us anyways. Think of it as covering the bases."
Admiral Nat smiled a bit. "Oh, I know my weaknesses. I know about the anti-Q weapons. I also know why I did any of this in the first place, and I still intend to protect the Federation from it's enemies. Hence the agreement I suggested to you." He motioned to Krystal.
