Graff looked and Elric and smiled awkwardly, "Sorry sir, I haven't been keeping up with the news lately, I just finished my advanced tactical training last week. We really didn't have any time for news."

Nat looked at the PADD. "Evidently not, but if it's classified, it may be hidden. Also, ever study the U.S.S. Firestorm by any chance? You know, the Klingon War, the Borg, Undine, Iconians... apparently this universe's Admiral Nat was in charge of the whole temporal weapon thing they ended up using the generate that portal to Iconia's past..."
Nat wondered for a moment. "Did he take the Firestorm into the portal himself, or just send somebody else?"
"I have experience in both local and alien decryption, including Starfleet Intelligence protocols. Quinn even cited me as an expert once, though I think he was just trying to get me to do more work. If there's something on that PADD he wants us to have unofficially, I can find it."
Graff looked at Elric and Nat with a confused stare, "Sirs, is there something here that I'm not being told about? With all do respect sirs, I do have a level 6 security clearance. My rank besides, I just was assigned to the USS Chamberlin as her fist officer. The ship is a long range description unit, meaning it intercepts and decodes potentially dangerous communications. This also means all the crew have to be extensively screened and be trained in tactical, communications and medical systems.

Elric had been working through the PADD until he was able break through the protection. "It appears to be recovered data on some alien artifact. How it relates to our mission, I'm not sure. I'll have to study what's on here."
"The data behind the protection itself appears to be fragmented. Though, part of what it depicts could be interpreted as a medallion, but possibly part of a larger whole." Elric glanced over at Nat. "Wait. Why'd you suggest that?"
Krystal leaned agianst the wall, thinking things through.
"I'm no stranger to sudden promotions," she finally said. "After all... I was only an Ensign when I got my first command thanks to Vega."
"Why a medallion? Apparently The Infamous used some kind of anti-Q medallion against some Q on ESD before he was captured; I figured they got the medallion and that they thought we could use it against Admiral Nat." Nat replied, turning to Krystal. "Sure, and my universe's Sarah got hers thanks to Klingons, as did your universe's version of me."
An ensign in science division uniform hurries into Sickbay and salutes. "Excuse me sir," she says to the Trill woman, "are you Captain Jade? I was asked to come up here. I've had the job of working on those nanites that you know about, I was to report on them in advance of some meeting but I understand there have been... developments about that." She shrugs helplessly and swallows a nervous laugh.
